Robbie Williams Reunites With Take That? Posted by Kiki & Sassy 11 November, 2009 - 1:23 PM
It just occurred to us that there are probably heaps of Robbie Williams fans who have never even heard of Take That. But we're so old that we can remember the days when Robbie was 'the edgy one' in a cute lil boy band called Take That.Until, of course, he had a fight with his bandmates, went solo, became a superstar, possibly dated Geri Halliwell, won a million awards, sung to millions of people and generally made a spectacle of himself.
Whilst he was doing that, the four other guys from Take That, well ... actually we have no idea what they did. Let's just say they opened fish and chip shops in places like Bath, 'cause for all we know that's what they did.
But now, Robbie and the boys are reuniting for a charity gig this week, performing for Children in Need at the Royal Albert Hall.
This is a SERIOUSLY BIG DEAL in England. They love it so much that Take That are at the only thing anyone's talking about - even though Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, Leona Lewis, Muse and Sir Paul McCartney are also performing.
Wanna know why we love it? The tension. You can't get back together after almost 15 years and pretend that everything's fine when one of you is an international superstar and the rest of you are struggling with your mortgage payments and/ or going bald.
The Spice Girls tried to reunite, and look how well that turned out. They were about to rip each other's hair out after one show.
We just wish some other great boy bands of the 1990's would reunite so that we could enjoy their cheesy pop tunes again and watch them say bitchy things to each other. N*Sync anyone?? We would love to see how bitter JC Chasez is about Justin Timberlake's career.
Tell us, who do you think will throw the first punch out of Take That?
And who do you want to see back together?

I'm a massive Robbie fan, but I don't think you realise how massive Take That are these days...3 sell out tours, and albums that have sold more than there first 3...by millions!
Good to see the re-union, I can't wait!
