Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes – along with baby daughter Suri - have set a cracking pace with their public appearances after just a week on their stint Downunder.

TomKat won’t do much to stimulate the economy – local paparazzi would beg to differ - but ScandalAnt reckons if we look at entertainment story statistics at the end of the month, we’ll find the numbers have been given a massive boost.

The famous trio have set a cracking pace with their public schedule – then again, superstardom means anything you do is public!

On the weekend they decided to pop along to the theatre to catch an early glimpse of Jersey Boys: The Story Of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre.

You could tell Tom was the odd one out in a publicity pic where he snuggled in between four members of the cast.

According to London’s Daily Mail: “One witness said a buzz went through the theatre and everyone was whispering ‘Tom Cruise is upstairs,’ and turning around to look at them.”

Also on the weekend, Kate Ceberano – who like Tom is a Scientology follower – spilled the beans on what she thinks about persistent reports the two are mates.

She told The Sun-Herald: “It’s like [saying] every Catholic is good friends with the Pope”.

Tom did the Aussie thing for his 47th birthday last week, taking the family to an AFL match and there was also the requisite trip to the zoo. Tom later rewarded Suri’s fascination with marsupials, handing over surprising her with a big toy kangaroo.

Oh yeah, he also gave her a hobby horse and two sequined frocks as well as a makeover by Becca and Bloom cosmetics.

With the TomKat show here for a few months while Katie shoots her latest film at Docklands in Melbourne, ScandalAnt reckons Australia’s about to find out what it’s like to be all TomKat-ed out!
