Slow Cooked Chicken For Angy Mel

He is angrier than Max and more threatening than a lethal weapon.
It seems actor Mel Gibson, has completely lost the plot! I can’t help feeling he has been played like a fiddle by his ex girlfriend and mother of his baby, Oksana Grigorieva. Anyone who has heard the alleged recent phone tapes of him threatening her life and calling her a range of colourful terms probably won’t have much sympathy. It was quite shocking to listen to his deranged ranting but I must say equally disturbing to hear how calm Ms Griorieva sounded, despite the barrage of abuse being hurled her way.
Mel’s career was already shaky after a number of liquor related incidents in the recent past but now he can kiss Hollywood goodbye, as well as the dollars he will have to send his ex girlfriends way. Is Mel a nasty drunk or the frustrated victim of a gold digging woman? Time and the courts will tell!
One thing is for sure and that is Mel is going to be cooking his own meals for a long time to come. He may have been hot in his day but now he is just a hot head carrying a bad rep with the ladies. Here is an easy recipe for the slow cooker Mel.
Slow Cooked Spanish Chicken- Ingredients
1.8kg chicken jointed (or chicken pieces on the bone)
1 brown onion sliced thinly
1 red capsicum sliced 1cm
1 green capsicum sliced 1cm
2 garlic cloves finely chopped
200g speck fat removed and diced 1cm
150ml white wine
80g tomato paste
½ cup black olives
¼ preserved lemon
Flat leaf parsley to garnish
Method
Place all ingredients into a large bowl and toss then tip the ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on low for eight hours. Stir once or twice during the cooking time. Serve with couscous, fresh bread or brown rice and flat leaf parsley.
