Pumping, crunking and downright dirrrrty! Field Day 2010 was the only way to start off the New Year with the people of Sydney already breaking every New Year's resolution.
Jack Beats brought his crazy basslines and massive breakdowns all mashed together to get the day rolling and The Presets pleased the crowds once more while Julian Hamilton talked like that. Fake Blood again created an abundance of hype with the crowd going absolutely ballistic with his set.
Ending the night was the legendary brothers of 2manydjs who had a lightshow to match the madness that was Field Day 2010.
Highlight
Crotch grabbing and dressed in white, Major Lazor Soundsystem's energy was bouncing throughout the crowd at an incredible speed. The set had everyone losing their minds as the sun fell behind the city backdrop.
Lowlight
2manydjs had a false start with their lightshow chucking a wobbly for the first ten minutes.

Info
Break all your New Year resolutions in one hit at the infamous Field Day extravaganza!
Whether you’re in the mood for some reggae with Jamaican Major Lazer Soundsystem feat. Diplo; the grindcore of Fake Blood; the kooky beats of our very own Architecture in Helsinki; or you want the French touch of Fred Falke, you will find it on the first day of the New Year.
If you missed 2manydj’s at Parklife 2008, the long wait is almost over. Field Day is bringing them to our shores and they are the masters when it comes to mashing up classic tunes that'll have you dancing into the early morning.
There's also The Presets who will no doubt have some tricks up their sleeves to help you celebrate the launch of 2010.
The day isn’t only to celebrate the beats of summer. Grab a cocktail, roll in the grass and check out the films at the outdoor cinema. Go crazy watching the best of Sydney’s burlesque scene and other acts that will simply blow your mind. After all, everybody’s doing it.
Tip: Slip, slop, slap, wrap baby! It’s gonna be a lonnnnnnng day.
