Akon Ends Rap Battle With Hot30 Countdown Jason 23 February, 2010 - 4:52 PM

Akon has kissed and made up with the Hot30 Countdown after an altercation during his Australian tour in 2009.

The rapper's managers and entourage tangled with Tim Lee and Charli Delaney after the pair were reportedly stood up for a scheduled interview backstage at Acer Arena in Sydney.

Tim attempted to get Akon's attention by knocking on his dressing room door, much to the annoyance of his management.

The Hot30 Countdown then imposed a ban on Akon's music, replacing his vocals on Sexy Bitch with former Australian Idol contestant Robert Mills.

As a peace offering, Akon provided the Hot30 Countdown with a secret codeword, reportedly guaranteeing access backstage for any future visits and the opportunity to punch his manager.
