Telegram: Hamish & Andy I hope you two really get to cherish this experience. I am always pleased when Aussies like yourselves go into the places our troops are in order to entertain. I giggle like a school girl every day I hear you..
My hubby WESTY has just begun this deployment and we miss him...especially since he missed our youngest sons 5th birthday.
**(For Westy: You were serving overseas for our 1st Wedding Anniversary & again for our eldests 5th Birthday...no complaints you did turn up on the wedding day so that's a plus and you were there for the birth of our sons so you keep doing what it is that makes you the soldier/man I've been loving for what feels like an eternity....and remember you are in the BEST LOOKING TRADIE TROOP...ah chuckle.... Now, seriously (yes seriously) Jus, the boys & I ask for no promises from you or your mates, you've trained well & hard and now it's time to "JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN!"
With every day that passes I miss you more and love you deeper, with each day that has past there is one less day ahead for which we wait, and like always I will gladly wait for you because you are worth waiting for. XOXO
PS. Yes Justin I have set up to record the V8 Supercars sorry I can't send it straight away but Jo & I have that all important road trip to Qld to be at Karens with our combined mob of children but I'll send it when I return. Although we're having a holiday... we will still be missing you, loving you...and waiting for you xoxox I am very proud of you all
Back to Hamish & Andy...when you're done in the war zone you may like to visit another war zone....the soldiers kids. Come and take care of some of the soldiers kids while us wives take a hard earned break at a retreat or winery or a winery retreat....I don't know...just think it over...I volunteer my children to your care...just don't tell my mum....

Telegram:To my Angel, Mick,
I know this is completely unconventional...but I wanted to write you something before I shut down and totally loose the plot..
I need you to know just how much I am in love with you. I adore you and will always adore you!!
I may fight, and bitch and pick on you but I always love you. Even though this will be a huge test on us and our amazing children we will be alright. I will find a way to cope because I know you need me to be strong and keep this little family of ours going while you are gone.
Just promise me that you will come home, safe and well and happy and with more love and respect for me and our marriage. As Im sure that I will be reminded of these things on a daily basis when I look into our childrens eyes.
They are a wonderful reminder of the love we have for each other.
I will miss you more than you will understand. I hope I dont complain too much on the phone and I know that we will have moments that we will fight and drive each other crazy. I will try not to leave things on a sour note because our times will be limited. But please note no matter the winge or concern I am coming to you with whatever the problem because you are my best friend and my husband. Not because I want to burden you.
I really do appreciate your overwhelming job that you will be undertaking. I know I will never truly understand but I do appreciate all that you do for your job, country and us.
Remember that Lachlan and Amelia love you so much. And send them drawings and pictures and photos and rocks for all they care. As long as its from you they will cherish it!!
I will write and email and send packages as often as possible to make it easier on you.
If you can keep me informed as possible, that will be great also.
With all my love and being I couldnt ask for a more attentive, wonderful and loving partner, husband, best friend, lover, father of my children and I want all the world to know just how grateful I am to have you in my life.
You are my everything my forever... Dont forget it.. Your Brooke
THANKS GUYS HE IS OUR HERO!!!

Telegram: Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all our servicemen and women who give of themselves so selflessly. Those of us who have never been in the armed forces cant understand what youre all going through - we can only appreciate what you do. "Thankyou" seems such an ineffective word to eloquently express our gratitude, but we hope you accept these thoughts in the spirit in which theyre given. We hope for a quick and safe return to your loved ones for each of you. You are truly amazing people, and were proud of you all.

Telegram: Hey guys!! It must be super tough being away from home all the time...but remember 5 things, and you will get through: 1) You are a soldier. No matter what, you are cool. 2) You have dealt with guns...when you come back home, no one will want to fight you. They will think youre too cool to fight anyway. 3) If you have kids, they will think you are awesome. On career days, soldier beats accountant in awesomeness any day. 4) You know what true camaraderie is. 5) Everything is just that much better when youre back, because youll never take it for granted.
-Kim :)
