Lesbian Lovers or Just Friends? Posted by Camilla 29 May, 2008 - 8:38 AM

Lindsay and Samantha

You may have heard in Richard Reid's gossip news that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, her DJ friend, are rumoured to be an item.  Micheal Lohan, Lindsays dad has even practically confirmed the rumours. Now I know I get slammed for standing up for LiLo, but this really annoyed me. Since when did hanging out with your gal pals mean you were gay? I have plenty of female friends who I just love... we kiss on the mouth, we hug, we hold hands... but we aren't on together.

Then yesterday, I found myself eating my words when I saw pictures of Lindsay and Sam... which were, lets say, less than complimentary to my argument. They were snuggling, holding hands, LiLo resting her head on Sam's shoulder.  I thought, "gee that all looks rather suss". But more importantly, "do I look like that with my friends?"

I still think that these two ladies are nothing more than gal pals, but the photo evidence does look rather suss. Check it out!

Leave the poor girl alone! Isn't her career ruined already without the paparazzi picking on everything she does?

Firstly, no Cam, I highly doubt you look like that with your friends - since i had the pleasure of meeting you with my sister the other week i can say with conviction that you just don't give off that trashy 'lindsay vibe'... secondly, can we not discuss lilo and her les antics any more, its really putting a dampener on my veronicas/ruby rose moment (since i'm having to live my love life through the rich and famous).

i say who cares this could be a publicity stunt or the real thing, i have been with my girlfriend for a year and this could do the gay comunity some good, not only does it arrise awareness in the younger generation letting them know that if you are gay its ok and nothing to worry about but also it helps people like myself who are gay to feel more comfortable in the public eye, not to grope or shove tounges down throats at all but to be able to walk down the street with my partner and child in tow and feel alright, not that we have a problem doing this but some people who see don't approve, i guess what im saying is that the more its seen the less shocking it is when it is seen not only for celebrities but also for regular lesbian or gay couples

If people would worry about them self
more instead of others maybe the world would be a better place. I don't know that much about Lindsay but she is cute and always nice on tv that I have seen. Anyone that has problems with the gay/lesbian life style and talks them down, you should be very careful, you will never know when this could hit your own family and how unhappy that family member is. If only they could come out. We should love all man kind equal and not judge as long as they are not hurting anyone. As far as all you people that think you are better than others just because of how they live their lives or what they believe in or worry about kids turning gay/lesbian you are born with it you don't learn it so get over it. Tell me if your son or daughter comes to you and says they are g/l are you not going to still love the. You are sinning just talking about them don't forget a sin is a sin and one is not worse than the other no matter what you think and if you disown your own child you really have worse problems than anyone.
I really could go on and on but I would think you get it by now and if not it's not worth anymore of my time. One more thing I am a christian and not a lesbian.

To Peggy's comment: I agree that all people should be treated with love and acceptance of them as people, but that does not mean we need to accept nor tolerate their behaviour i.e. do we tolerate an abusive husband's abuse? Do we accept the behaviour of a peodophile? Loving the sinner but not the sin is what Jesus Christ said and remember that ALL sins are NOT equal, otherwise a lie or losing your temper or over eating etc would be the same as pre-meditated murder or rape wouldn't it? I am a christian and I have a relative that is a homosexual BUT I love him and treat him normally but that doesn't mean that I accept his homosexual activities. If a person is a christian then remember that in the Bible it says that "man must not lie with man as he lieth with woman as it is an abomination before God". Well that's straight forward - no possible different interpretations there. If we all became homosexually persuaded then the human race would cease to exist - it is not only a crime against God it is a crime against the very existence of humanity and the succession of us all. Just because a person is homosexually persuaded does not mean that that person needs to exercise that desire. Most people have strong desires i.e. alcohol, drugs, speaking badly to others, getting angry, interrupting people etc BUT that does not mean that those desires are embraced. To become better people and create a better society we must all continue to try to exercise control over our desires that demean ourselves and/or society at large - no person is an island......
