She's got a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear!

The boys posed me with a dilemma this morning - how do you help a women who's got a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear.

This is something which happened to Labby over the weekend while his girlfriend tried on countless outfits and nothing seemed to work! I'm nots sure how other women feel but in my case, it never that I don't have any clothes, but more likely my own insecurities taking hold.

My solution…you have to balance very finely between reassuring her, offering her a practical solution and being honest.

Fact is, women need to be told they look great. Just for reassurance sake. And this should be your first port of call. Saying you look great no matter what is a bit rich though… she'll know straight away it's just a line and probably resent the comment. Rather try and keep it real.

This brings me to my next idea… you need to back up your reassuring comment with a great practical solution to the problem. Nothing looks right? Have an idea of something that you KNOW will look good. Maybe it's a pair of jeans you always think she looks hot in. Maybe it's a little black dress which makes her feel slim and tall. And we all HAAAAAAATE it when our partner comes in and starts making frivolous suggestions just to get us out the door. So you need to be sensitive, show her you're really listening and that you want to help. And if you're not Tim Gunn who's a walking guide to style, then ask her what her dream outfit would be… maybe together you can piece something together to emulate it.

And lastly, make sure she puts her problem into perspective. This is where "tough love" comes into play because we all know she'll kick herself when she misses out on a killer night out for the sake of "not having anything to wear". The truth of the matter is, some days insecurities take hold and it's hard to walk out the door and love yourself for who and what you are… but you just have to! So I tell myself to suck it up and just go. The moment you're out and about you'll forget what you're wearing and hopefully have a great time. But I think if a man told me to "suck it up", Id kill him, so I'll leave the phrasing to you…

  Try mix-matching some of your old stuff to make a hot new outfit. It always works for me.

  Everybody has something special that makes them who they are, so love yourself, and listen to those who matter becasue they love you for who you are not what you ware. Don't go out to impress anyon but yourself.
