Fashion and Arts United Brisbane 2009 says
Brisbane unites for frocks, rock and charity
In the south, more than 200 dead, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, children, babies. 1,800 homes destroyed. In the north, 62 per cent of Queensland remains devastated by flood. While the names of those affected may never be known, in Brisbane there is a lineup of people whose names can make a difference, and they aim to.
In a history making first, Brisbane's leaders across fashion, arts and music have created an event where 100% of every cent raised will be donated to the Red Cross to be divided equally towards the Victorian Bushfire Appeal and Premier's Disaster Relief Fund for Queensland Flood Victims.
Fashion & Arts United will be held on Wednesday 4th March 2009 at Brisbane City Hall.
Tickets to the event will cost $80 with 100% of tickets sales being divided evenly between the two causes. Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman has donated the use of Brisbane City Hall for Fashion & Arts United, with the event being held in the Main Auditorium. Fashion & Arts United will be MC-ed by Network Ten's Bill McDonald and Georgie Lewis and is supported by B105.
Everyone involved is donating 100% of their time and products.
